Bugeater 1

This bugeater is near and dear to my heart as it was the first created in the series. Give him a good home and he won't disappoint!

If you paint his image on a cardboard, cut it into a stencil, and stamp it around a fabric piece, it makes a very cool underlayer for collage or stitch. But don't take my advice--scroll down to the little gallery to see a painted and stitched sample--then order yours and get busy!

The Perfect Pet Design Sheet

Having two huge dogs often makes me wish for a perfect pet--no hair, no walks, no food bill. These little critters fit that wish--and they won't even need fresh water! Just a little stitchin and perhaps some paint and, voila, perfect pet! Design sheet is 8.5 X 11 inches, fish measure 3.5 X 3.5 inches.

Sassy Gator

This alligator is great on anything that needs a laugh--imagine him smiling at ya everytime you open a poopy diaper (I did 6 linen diapers for my expecting friend with a different colored gator on each one--it was a BIG hit). And come on, you know you want to put a gator in the in-law's kitchen...I'm just saying... (entire gator measures 10.5inches X 3.5inches with open mouth)

Alphabirds Design Sheets

For the first design in the Kidstitch line, I wanted to release something that was edu-taining! What's more fun than a barrel of... Alphabet birds!! These critters are cool and looney, and I've included a couple of choices for wings--big 'uns or little 'uns depending on how much room you have to fly! Each bird body measures 3.5inches long by 2inches high and the wings add from 3 to 5 inches based on how fancy you make them. So go wild, go looney, go give someone the bird...the Alphabird!!

I did one of these as a back pack monogram for my girly and had requests for more before I'd even finished the first--kids can't resist them! And for a me-n-the-kids project, I had my young 'uns color the birds onto the ground fabric with fabric crayons, then I heat set them and we stitched them while eating popcorn and watching it snow. Now THAT'S some bird family fun!! Enjoy!

Glamour Buzzard

This bird is a mutation from the Tree of Life bird (available this summer). It is a great shape for showing off your snazzy stitches, or for something simple which looks just as elegant.

Mandrake

oooh, here he is!! The long awaited rock star of stitch: the mighty mandrake in all his glory! The one I did is sketched in watercolor crayon and stitched with browns and greens in mostly straight stitches. The ruffly bit at his neck is brazilian cast on. I'll be putting up a tutorial for creating the look of the original, but don't let that stop you--paint him up, stitch him up, and share YOUR interp!

The Glamour Buzzard is one of those designs to really dig in to and show off your fancy stitches:

This guy uses brazilian cast on as the fanciest, and lots of packed chain stitches for his main texture. Whatever you choose, he is a wonderful shape to show off with!
